Sliding door

Sliding door inspiration photo... Wow, so I have read about a million toutorials for how to hand or build your own sliding door but this has got to be the simplest and most clever. Two reclaimed doors. Old doors are easy to find, matching doors ummm it might take a few days weeks months. But here locally we have a Habitat Restore building supplies are donated or reclaimed. Also in Eugene Oregon we have Bring. So for durt cheap you can have the doors.

Now go to the hardware store and pick up a curtain rod that is long enough to cover the opening doorway plus the door width... Umm impossible.

But pipe is not. So. go for skinny piping and it will fit the eye hooks that you will need. Almost every major hardware store will cut the pipe to length for you. So do the math ahead of time. If you look at the top of the doors there are two eyehooks (they have a screw type base, and screw right into the wood) in each door.

For extra support they added casters. Also, two for each door if you look at the bottom of the door. This will support the weight of the door some and help the sliding of them so much easier.
